The Best Birthday Gift!

News FloatIt was the perfect gift to go along with our 100th Anniversary!  MCSB's big birthday cake float won the Grand Marshall's trophy at the 2010 Little Egypt Festival.  Several employees and their families supported the bank and the community by joining in the fun!  "We had such a great time building this float.  It was a wonderful opportunity for employees to spend time together outside of our everyday work environment... a great team builder for our employees and a very nice addition to one of Salem's long-standing community events," shared MCSB Lender Doug Owens. 

 

 

MCSB Employees Cook Out at Chamber Golf Outing!

News BBQ2MCSB joined with the Greater Salem Chamber of Commerce as a lunch sponsor for the annual Chamber Golf Outing.  MCSB employees enjoyed cooking hotdogs for several golfers attending the outing.  "Our local Chamber does a terrific job supporting the businesses of this community.  We were pleased to be able to help out!  We're looking forward to being there for lunch again next year," stated MCSB President Larry Clark. 

 

 

 

 

MCSB Employees Cook Out for Customers!

News BBQMCSB continued its 100th Anniversary Celebration with a drive-up cookout on August 27th.  Employees served lunch as a way of saying thank you. "This was a nice opportunity to get out and see our customers," stated MCSB Comptroller T.J. Burge.

 

 

 

 

 

Congratulations to Our Top Duck Sellers!

News Cardinals Giants GameMarion County Savings Bank was the top duck seller (for banks) in the 19th Annual Duck Race with a total of 717 ducks sold.  MCSB employees participated on teams for a variety of prizes.  The Top Team was awarded a fun-filled evening of St. Louis Cardinals baseball.  "MCSB employees just love to sell Ducks for The Healthcare Foundation.  We really have a great time with this community event!" mentioned MCSB employee Marjorie Swagler. 

 

 

 

 

MCSB Celebrates 100 Years with the Salem Community

News Anniversary100 Years of Service to Marion County - Marion County Savings Bank celebrated 100 years as Salem's locally-owned community bank on June 12, 2010.  MCSB employees, customers, and the community enjoyed the Blue Suede Crew featuring the personalities of Elvis and Johnny Cash.  As part of their big celebration, the special day included lunch, birthday cake, cotton candy, and a giant slide!

 

 

 

 

MCSB Celebrates 100 Years with the Salem Business Community

100 Years CookiesMarion County Savings recently celebrated its 100th Anniversary with a Business After Hours event held at The Annex.  The event was sponsored by the Salem Chamber of Commerce.  It was MCSB's way of saying "Thank You" for their partnership with other area local businesses.


 

 

 

 

Groundhog Job Shadow Day

Gail and EricMCSB employee Gail Lewis enjoyed a special day at the bank, mentoring her Grandson, Eric Lewis.  Eric is a 7th grader at Selmaville Grade School.  It was a chance for Eric to learn more about what his Grandma Gail does during her day.  Eric learned how to use the bank’s folding and postage machines.  He helped with preparing and sorting mail.  Eric now knows a little more about banking thanks to his Grandma Gail and Selmaville Grade School!

 

 

 

Marion County Savings Clean-Up Crew

Clean Up CrewWith a Clean-Up Crew of 21, Marion County Savings employees and their family members teamed up to help with Keep Salem Beautiful.  They participated in cleaning the City Park Reservoir and the Nature Trail.
